According to new Bureau of Labor Statistics data, New Hampshire’s unemployment rate is down 1.5 percent in July from numbers 12 months ago. The state’s unemployment rate dropped from 3.5 percent in July 2021 to 2.0 percent in July 2022. The current unemployment rate is significantly lower than then the national rate of 3.5 percent. 

In addition to the positive unemployment numbers, New Hampshire added a total of 13,100 non-farm jobs since July 2021. 

The drop in the state’s unemployment rate and higher job numbers are potential good signs for the future of New Hampshire’s economy.
