As released in the Bureau of Labor Statistics report last month, New Hampshire’s unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted, rose slightly from 2.6 percent in November to 2.7 percent in December. Not seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate stayed steady at 2.5 percent in December.
Locally, according to a newly released Bureau of Labor Statistics report released on February 1, the Dover-Durham metropolitan area unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) dropped from 3.4 percent in November to 3.3 percent in December.
Nearly three years after the COVID-19 pandemic drastically impacted local communities across the nation, New Hampshire continues to show resilience and make great progress towards recovering economic losses.
